Privacy and Data Protection Policy

1. Introduction 

Black Pine Recruitment (registered address: Eerste Van Swindenstraat, 1093 GB Amsterdam, the Netherlands; KvK number: 77861671) (“Black Pine Recruitment”, “BPR”, “we”). Black Pine Recruitment is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. Black Pine Recruitment ensures that the collected personal information is used confidentially and in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. Black Pine Recruitment hereby informs the job seekers, candidates whose personal data Black Pine Recruitment controls in the course of its recruitment activities (“Candidates”) on the personal data controlled by Black Pine Recruitment, the principles and practice of such data controlling and the rights and remedies of the Candidates in relation thereto.

 

2. Scope and duration of data collection 

The purpose of the collection and controlling of the personal data of the Candidates is the recruitment of the Candidates to the clients of Black Pine Recruitment. The Candidate may give consent to the controlling of personal data in respect of a specific job vacancy or in general for recruitment purposes.

Black Pine Recruitment may send newsletters to the Candidates based on the expressed consent of the respective Candidate.

Black Pine Recruitment may control some of the following personal data of the Candidates: full name, e-mail, phone number, home address, work history, Linkedin profile, Curriculum Vitae, date of birth, nationality, BSN number, professional and language skills, educational background, certificates/ references (we will never reach out for references without the candidates consent), if Candidate is bound by a non-compete agreement, current salary and salary expectations.

For specific job vacancies further information/personal data might be provided, with the consent of the Candidate.

Black Pine Recruitment controls personal data of the Candidates until request for erasure by the Candidate, or maximum until the time necessary for the purpose of the data controlling, which occurs earlier. Black Pine Recruitment revises regularly if the controlled personal data is necessary for the performance of its purpose.

Black Pine Recruitment makes its best effort to keep up-to-date personal data of the Candidates. In order to ensure this goal, Black Pine Recruitment encourages the Candidates to notify Black Pine Recruitment on the change of their personal data provided to Black Pine Recruitment. Black Pine Recruitment also contacts the Candidate from time to time to update the personal data of the Candidates controlled by Black Pine Recruitment either by email or phone call.

 

3. How we protect your data

We protect all personal data we process from unauthorized and unlawful access, alteration, disclosure, use and destruction. For instance, we take among other things the following technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data:

  • Security of our network connections through Secure Socket Layer (SSL);
  • The (access to) data is secured with passwords and two factor authentication;
  • Employees are trained about data privacy during onboarding;
  • Periodic training about data privacy to all employees;
  • Pre-employment background screening of all employees.

 

4. Your rights 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have a number of important rights. In summary, those include rights to:

  • access to your personal data that Black Pine Recruitment stores on you
  • require Black Pine Recruitment to correct any mistakes in your information 
  • require the erasure of personal data concerning you
  • receive the personal data concerning you which you have provided to Black Pine Recruitment
  • object to our continued processing of your personal data

5. Updates to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy policy frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
